Lush Green Malshej in Monsoon

A much needed break from the boring office routine and recent weekend adventures of studying and upgrading oneself.Good times come to those who crave for it,and i was waiting for monsoon to come quite eagerly.If we skip the Delhi to Pune marathon due to Parceling issues,this can be considered as my first monsoon adventure 

I will let the pics explain and visualize the beauty of Majshej's awesomeness.I took the below route.

Pune - Narayangaon - Junnar - Malshej - Murbad - Karjat - Lonavala - Pune

Day 2 - Theog - Khadapathhar - Hatkoti - Rohru - Chanshal - Rohru - Dakpathar - Vikasnagar - Saharanpur - Muzaffarnagar - Ghaziabad

My plan was to go Narkanda and beyond and ride as much in the same direction till afternoon and return back from the same route.When i saddled up and came out at the road,i went back to the town area to have tea,where i had dinner last night.And just when i finished my tea this board pointing towards Rohru caught my attention.I took out my phone and started looking for it in Google Maps,by the location of it..it looked bit better place..more adventurous with much more awesome views.I continued towards Rohru and my thoughts and expectation began to shatter due to the bad road conditions,but the beautiful view around was the only thing which kept me going.

Chanshal and Chail - Weekend getaway from Delhi - DAY 1

Day 1 - Ghaziabad - Ambala - Solan - Chail - Kufri - Theog

Don't have much to write,so this is going to be a photo log 

This ride happened on 18-19 May weekend,where i started for Chail and beyond..but ended up riding to rohru and then Chanshal pass and then a bone breaking night ride..back to Ghaziabad.

I finished my night shift on Saturday morning around 2 AM and started towards Shimla.

Caught up with the Sunrise around Kurukshetra.





Road condition was very good all the way..till Solan.From where i took diversion to reach Chail.

Day 6 - Bageshwar - Thal - Munsyari - Thal

I was all set for Munsyari in the morning,wasn't aware..what was waiting for me.It was like every other day of riding and i had never expected how my life will be for next two days.I got up and did the daily rituals and started for Munsyari.Musnyari was another 120 kms from Bageshwar and by the looks of the winding roads,i was expecting to reach there by Lunch time.

Start towards Munsyari was quite promising as expected.Got to see these lovely snow capped mountains along the way.

Chopta’s astounding beauty cannot be binded in words. Lush green meadows,trees around..loaded with thousands of flowers,snow capped mountains and beautiful landscapes.Specially the hues of red’s and pink’s of rhododendron flowers.

Day 5 - Deoria Taal - Chopata - Gopeshwar - Bageshwar

I was waiting for the morning so sincerely,that i didn't slept at all.Ok i admit that it was very cold due to which i didn't slept properly  :P.Good thing was that,i was able to witness some early morning magical views of the Deoria Tal.

Day 4 - Uttarkashi - Dhauntri - Chamiyala - Ghansali - Ukimath - Sari - Deoria Taal

Got an early start today,thanks to the waiter who came to ask for early morning tea.I went to the main market(Taxi stand) area to inquire about the route which i had to take,saw some hotels in the left and then the Garam Garam samosa's coming out of the frying pot caught my attention.With few rounds of samosa and tea to sum it up,i finally came back to my senses and asked the hotel owner about the shortcut to Ukimath.He was so kind and generous,that he drew entire map for me and pointed the landmarks and towns from where i had to take the diversions 

My Plan for today was to reach Sari Village as soon as possible and complete the Deoria taal trek before it gets dark.On the other hand,i wanted to see the sunset from top 

I was keeping the tea,rajnigandha and photo breaks to be minimum.Road condition was pretty good,but the roads were narrow..so i was riding slow and careful.

I was in no mood to return back to Uttarkashi,if only it was possible..I would have stayed there for night.Return journey was bit quicker as i was familiar with the route and have stopped on most of the stops from where the valleys and mountains offered beautiful views.



But,I was wrong.. every time you stare at those beautiful landscapes..you get to see something new..something more spectacular than the previous one and it becomes impossible to stop yourself for taking more and more photo breaks.

Day 3 - Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi

This day has finally come,where my excitement was at par.The day when i get to receive blessing from "Ganga Maiya".I packed my stuff and started ahead without wasting any time.

This is where i stayed for the night for 300 Bucks.


Roads were mostly good with few bad patches and these bad patches were due to the land slides.



It was not very far i had traveled and i got blessed with the lovely views of snow capped mountains.
