KTM Duke 390 goes to the less traveled places in Madhya Pradesh – Day 3 – PART 2

Filled my tummy with the Garam samosa and green chutney and started towards Chanderi.Bhopal - Vidisha - Mungaoli - Chanderi...Roads are good except few small patches in between.Bad patches are only in the town areas and where the bridge construction is going on.Rest of the road is freshly laid tarmac with no potholes at all.I reached Chanderi by afternoon and weather was still foggy.

To beat the cold,I stopped at a tea shop and pretty soon my 390 was mobbed by the local public.

Day 3 - Bhopal - Sanchi - Vidisha - Chanderi - Lalitpur - Jhansi

Staying overnight with family has its own perks.Early morning adrak tea and Hot parathas was one of the tasty perk.I started with a foggy morning and even after 1-2 hours of riding it was not ready to give up.Early morning,empty roads and tussle with the fog..I reached Sanchi and parked myself for a tea break.

Sanchi Stupa is a remarkable specimen of Buddhist art.This place is quite popular for its stupas, monolithic Asokan pillar, temples, monasteries and sculptural wealth.These architectural beauty belongs to the early Mauryan period.

Day 2 - Omkareshwar

Entire day was dedicated to Omkareshwar.For a change 'Eat/Relax/Walk/Take A boat ride/Visit Temple' was the agenda for today.Since i slept early yesterday,i was ready to roll early in the morning.I just started walking casually in the market and went upto the jhula (Bridge on Narmada) to get information about getting around and places to visit.The Jhula term for bridge i have picked up from Rishikesh,where they call these bridges as Laxman Jhoola/Ram Jhoola etc.After collecting most of the information and taking some photos,i returned to the hotel to take bath and visit Omkareshwar Temple.

Day 1 - Pune - Aurangabad - ChalisGaon - Dhule - Dhamnod - Maheshwar - Omkareshwar

It always starts with a spark in mind,it always ends with peace and tranquility in your heart.Satisfied with the love you shared with your steed,peoples you met on the way,experiences you felt,mistakes you did and how you corrected them.While i go and share my this part of journey,i would like to iterate that this ride was supposed to go all the way till himalayas.But got cut-off in between by some antisocial elements which we usually know by the name of 'Project Manager'.

I started early morning from Pune and reaching Aurangabad was an easy affair.Thanks to the four lane connecting Aurangabad via Ahmednagar.Had been to the Chalisgaon route recently while returning from Delhi on my dear dhanno and was aware of its decent condition.From Dhule to Dhamnod it was a pleasure riding on NH3 as we all know,it is in very good shape.Stopped in between for Lunch and feasted myself with my favorite stuff
