After few kms the road disappeared and i found myself riding on a River bed, multiple routes heading into multiple directions.I was clueless as many times i ended up reaching to dead ends and taking U turn and choosing another route. It was fun but since the rear tyre was running on Tube..I was little bit scared.Went through many of those water crossings which i missed in the Ladakh ride.

Day 3 - Senga - Bomdila - Dirang - Bhalukpong - Gohpur
Day 3 - Senga - Bomdila - Dirang - Bhalukpong - Gohpur
With an early start of the day,The bumpy ride continues. And it becomes quite boring and uninteresting if you have to take the same route on your return journey.Being advised about not to take the interior routes, shortcuts and less traveled roads,I had no other option..but to follow the same road from which i came.

Day 2 - Senga - Sela - Jang - Tawang - Sela - Senga:PART 3
Spent few hours at Tawang monsatery,Was lost in the beauty of the architecture and the marvelous paintings it had in the inside and outside walls.
I left from Tawang monastery and moved towards the route heading to PT TSO,I reached a TCP check post where you have to enter your details for further travelling.I went to the office and requested Jawan to enter my details and let me pass to PT TSO.But the jawan refused to let me go saying.Entry is only till 12:00 PM and Single person is not allowed to go ahead.I begged and requested him for atleast 15-20 mins..but he wasn't listening at all.I was so disappointed that i dropped the idea of going to Bum La as well.
I started my return from Tawang towards Sela,Around 10 -15 kms before Jang i noticed a huge waterfall close to the Jang route. And the curiosity to reach that fall took me here.

Day 2 - Senga - Sela - Jang - Tawang - Sela - Senga:PART 2
I moved ahead towards Jaswantgarh following the winding roads. And the road condition went back to Slushy and slippery.

A beautiful waterfall on the way.

Day 2 - Senga - Sela - Jang - Tawang - Sela - Senga:PART1
It was clear and shiny morning, all the dark clouds from the evening were nowhere to be seen.Packed my stuff and started for Tawang at 05:00 AM.

Mighty Sela Pass was just 27 Kms from the place,It was very cold out there. And due to no sign of Sun,my hands started to freeze. As i approached towards Sela, the height increased, road became narrower and slushy.

Day 1 - Nagaon - Bhalukpong - Bomdila - Senga
Prologue and The Start - The hardest part in the preparation for the ride was the leaves part. From the last two years i have been waiting for my North East dream to happen, but most of the times it used to get scrapped because of No approval for the leaves. However one fine day my lucky luck striked and with more begging and making a deal with manager,i got my 14 days leave approved in March 2012.And the deal was - 'I have to work on weekends as well, after coming back for atleast 01 month'.I happily agreed.Few preparations which i did before i started my ride
1) Booked the tickets immediately after getting the leaves approved, got the Indigo flights from Mumbai to Guwahati and back in 7758 INR
2) On itenary part, took help from HV Kumar and fellow friends MG and Darknight who recently went to Arunachal and Sikkim
3) Biggest headache was to parcel the bike to Guwahati,Since there were no trains going directly to Guwahati from Pune.I rode down my bike to Mumbai. Now the parcel thing to Guwahati only happens from the LTT station and the direct train to Guwahati is only on three days Saturday,Sunday and Wednesday.I went to LTT station, spoke to an agent and he agree to do all the packing, paper work and loading of the bike on Wednesday (16 May) train. The train usually takes 03 days to reach Guwahati.
4) Permits thing were done with the help of an Agent named Bedanta Gogoi (986423119)from Dibrugarh. He charges 500 rs for 01 circuit.I had included 04 circuits so obviously he charged me 2000 bucks.I had to courier him a true copy of my passport and license.

Photolog - Konark,Puri and Little bit of Bhuwaneshwar
Have been to Bhuwaneshwar,Odisha in February end for a close friends marriage. After getting done with all the functions,I went to explore the near places and this log is all about it.Since it wasn't a bike expedition,I dont have much to write about. So this one will be a Photolog ;)
Konark Temple -Konark is a combination of two word, Kona means 'Angle' and word Arka means 'Sun'.The meaning of these words is in reference to the temple which is dedicated to the Sun god Surya.

Day 22 PART1 - UDR Ride - 31 July - Chandrataal - Gramphoo - Rohtang - Manali - Barmana
Early morning trek to the Chandrataal begins at 06 AM in the morning. The guide said its just 03-04 Kms from our camp site. Interesting, after a bone chilling night ride what i needed was a early morning trek of 4 Kms.
Along with me were two love birds which were married for last one year.Bharath and Nisha from banglore.Thank god, atleast i wasn't solo in this trek.Pretty soon we striked the conversation and in very few moments we became good friends.
And between those conversations,we never knew how the time flew and we made it to chandrataal. It was foggy everywhere.
First view of Chandrataal
