3000 KM's SOLO : TOUR DE HOME
I was planning for my hometown ride for last couple of months and finally it happened. I covered and visited lots of places in between and also missed plenty of such places which I always wanted to visit. But it’s better to leave couple of things to create a chance for the next time. I had cooked up the log route wise rather than the day wise.
For most of the IT professionals December month is termed as the Honeymoon period, as none of the major work is carried out in this month. (Though some people think that IT wale saal bhar Velle aka Phokut rehte he)
So I took an opportunity to take a long leave to visit my hometown, as I haven't visited my place from last last year
Preparation part:-
1) Collected map and routes for my journey. Thanks to my fellow Mumbai Xbhpian's
2) Purchased a tubeless puncture kit, Accelarator wire, clutch wire, mini foot pump and couple of bungee cords.
3) Got my permanent license on the last day, packed RC book and Insurance papers and other useful document's
4) Hard cash, clothes and usual stuffs.
5) Got my bike serviced, Oil changed, chain lubed, brake oil and coolant level check.
I was all ready to rock on 9th of December 09.

Mumbai - Mahabaleshwar - Sangli..First 900Kms solo ride
MUMBAI TO SANGLI
Route:- Mumbai to Poladpur(NH17) -- Poladpur to Mahabaleshwar (Road in pretty bad condition) -- Mahabaleshwar to Satara (State Highway )
It was a marriage invitation from one of my friend, which strategically turned into a Tour. Actually I was having no idea how I will be reaching Sangli by other options. So I chose the most usual option
Friday Night parties are hard to skip. That is the one of the reason i had missed most of the Rides happened on Saturday's .So it was a regular Friday. With small booze party concluded by couple of Cards session.

Virgin Beach - Ganpatipule
Ganpatipule is regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches of Mahrashtra with its clear and pristine waters and beach covered with fresh greeneries. Fine, sifted, silver sands and a gentle lapping sea, which soothes frayed nerves, are features of this beach.
The town possesses a pastoral beauty untouched by commercialisation. The roadside sceneries on the way to Ganapatipule are captivating with narrow roads, red soil, roofed houses, clean courtyards, innumerable fruit bearing trees and casuarinas lining.
An ancient pilgrim center, Ganpatipule is one of the ‘Ashta Ganapatis’ (eight Ganpatis) of India and called the ‘Paschim Dwar-Dewata’ (Western Sentinel God).

DEVBAANDH--IN THE HEART OF JOHAR
Devbaandh is a small village, situated in the middle of Johar District, amidst the western ghats on the Bombay-Nasik route. The ghat was alluringly beautiful and the twisties were so much tempting.
Devbaandh, the name of the village reflects a sense of divinity, people living in it had. The dam that was built on a small river was running behind the aashram...
