Verdant Maharashtra – Tripping around Bhor – Day 1 - PART 3

With Torna being ruled out as the destination of the day,I was clueless where to head next.I was assuming the road which is going ahead is going to lead me somewhere near Varanda ghats. Was i right or Was i wrong,Lets find out.

I followed the road and kept on moving ahead.meanwhile one more waterfall.

A ghat section in between

After an affair of 30-40 kms, roads started to disappear and my hopes to reach Varandha ghat started disappearing as well.

First this

And then i reached at a Juntion(Kelad gaon) where the left road was going to Madhe Ghat and the straight road was going to Kumbale.

From no roads to off road.

And after 3-4 kms more,i reached at dead end.It was like end of the earth.Well the place 'Madhe Ghats' where i accidentally barged in was a quite popular spots among tourists.Quite lucky i am,that my zeal to explore new avenues let me reach here

"About Madhe Ghats - "Madhe Ghat" is an ancient historical route. Shivaji's great warrier Tanaji Malusare died while fighting on Kondana (Sinhagad)fort, his dead body was carried via this route called "Madhe Ghat" to his native village in Konkan (Credit - Wikimapia)"

One can actually trek down to the base of this waterfall.

There was a huge waterfall nearby, but as soon as i reached there it went completely foggy and started raining. It was much huge than this one.I returned to Kelad Gaon and continued towards Kumbale to complete my quest.

TO BE CONTD

Cheers
Biru
