Day 2 - Port Campbell - 12 Apostles - Bay of Islands - Cobden - Camperdown - Colac - Geelong - Melbourne
Map for the day

While everybody else was still asleep till 08:00 AM.I woke up and went for the complimentary breakfast.Had plenty of juice to get rid of the last night hangover.I packed my stuff quickly and bid adieu to everyone and headed towards 12 Apostles.
Had to go 10 kms back,as i had left the spot yesterday because of the heavy rains.Reaching early to such popular spots has its own advantages..They are less crowded.

12 Apostles - Twelve Apostles is a collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park on Great Ocean Road,no prizes in guessing that the apostles were formed by erosion. The harsh weather conditions gradually eroded the soft limestone to form caves in the cliffs, which then became arches, which in turn collapsed..leaving those high rock stacks.

Pose marne kaa

Got news that the other group is heading ahead till Bay of Islands, which is 10 KM ahead of Peterborough.I also decided to do some catch up to create a feeling that i came travelling with these guys. And this is the Port Campbell town, where we stayed

Great Ocean Road - 200+ kms fun along the coast

On the way towards Bay of Islands i stopped at London bridge and The Arch.
London Bridge - A natural arch formed by the gradual process of erosion.Don't know how it got the name of London bridge but..there used to be a natural bridge by which we can go to the Arch shown in the image below. The bridge collapsed in 1990.

Another arch nearby London bridge.

Met this little fella on the way to the Arch.
Mr Echinda

All of us regrouped at Bay of Island and decided the return plan.Well, they were planning to go to some family park...I chose to go with my own plan..I remembered the old lady at the visitor centre talking about the numerous lakes around Camperdown.
Bay of Islands -

Came back to the Port Campbell and took the C164 route towards Camperdown. The scenary around the route was terrific

I reached Camperdown by 12:00 Noon and stopped for Lunch and Coffee break at Bucks Bakery.
After quenching my thirst and hunger, time was to climb the nearby look out.And here is what was achieved by climbing few kms.Amazing view

Remaining journey was pretty straight forward and was a simple run..back to home.Maintaining 100 Km/hr..i reached home by 05:00 PM.Grabbed a bottle of wine from nearby liquor shop to celebrate another fun filled ride.
Cheers
