Virgin Beach - Ganpatipule

Ganpatipule is regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches of Mahrashtra with its clear and pristine waters and beach covered with fresh greeneries. Fine, sifted, silver sands and a gentle lapping sea, which soothes frayed nerves, are features of this beach.

The town possesses a pastoral beauty untouched by commercialisation. The roadside sceneries on the way to Ganapatipule are captivating with narrow roads, red soil, roofed houses, clean courtyards, innumerable fruit bearing trees and casuarinas lining.

An ancient pilgrim center, Ganpatipule is one of the ‘Ashta Ganapatis’ (eight Ganpatis) of India and called the ‘Paschim Dwar-Dewata’ (Western Sentinel God).

DEVBAANDH--IN THE HEART OF JOHAR

Devbaandh is a small village, situated in the middle of Johar District, amidst the western ghats on the Bombay-Nasik route. The ghat was alluringly beautiful and the twisties were so much tempting.
Devbaandh, the name of the village reflects a sense of divinity, people living in it had. The dam that was built on a small river was running behind the aashram...

RAJMACHI -- OFFROADING MADNESS

Rajmachi fort, 13 km from Lonavala is situated right on the edge of the Deccan plateau, overlooking the
coastal plains of Konkan. Because of its strategic location, it was a guardian fort of the Bor Ghat on the
ancient trade route. The fort is actually a plateau with two citadels, Shrivardhan & Manaranjan and a tiny village called Udhewadi at the base. In between the col of the two citadels there is an ancient temple
dedicated to Bhairavnath. A walk through Rajmachi’s sacred grove leads to an ancient temple besides a
pond. With no electricity or any 'urban' facilities - this is truly wilderness at its best.

DAMAN..Drinking festival ride

When i think of daman i think of lots of beers..pegs of whisky at throw away price.Just like GOA,with a slight difference in the quality of beaches and crowd.

My bike wasn't in a good shape, was needing a Mechanic's touch. So gave it for Servicing that too on saturday.I was feeling like i have become handicapped...and paralysed at the same time. And the weekend was acting like a hypertension upon all these.

But god is not that cruel to a biker specially..got a call from my friend who recently purchased his new RE350 cc Standard. And unlike other bike owners he was itching to take the virginity of his new babe..But he wanted two-sum..That was like pushing hard in first run.Anyway i should be happy about it.

RAIGADH UNLEASHED !!

Raigad Fort, the capital of the Maratha kingdom, is situated on an irregular wedge-shaped mass of rock, detached from the main body of Sahyadri Mountains by a deep valley and inaccessible from three sides, Raigarh is 210kms south of Mumbai and 27kms north of Mahad. About 6 hours drive from Mumbai on the left hand turn near Mahad, Raigad is 23 Kms off the junction, and it is a steep drive up the hills. The ropeway offers a majestic view of the area surrounding the fort. A motorable road leads to Chit Darwaja, about 2kms from Pachad, the village at the base, where lies the Samadhi of Jijabai, Shivaji’s mother. The whole area is a sprawling 100 acres of land and the main attractions are the Hirkani Buruz, the mahadarwaja, Vijay Stambha, Queens palaces, the Samadhi of Shivaji and his faithful dog Waghya.
