DAY 1

Who doesn't like suprises. Now that's a conditional statement. Good or Bad Suprise..But i think we the 7 roamers took the liberty to give us a Good suprise. Now that's a easy guess..but i will still leave it as a known suspense,to be revealed later.

Hitting to Tarkarli, chilling with Dolphins and decent night out with camp fire were all in our head. Like the other plans.. Meeting at the McD at 4 am was the common part. But the other guys were in hurry to reach Tarkarli and they decided to go by NH4..via Pune.Oh common i said, why you guys want to miss the Beauty and twisties of NH17.But since i didn't shouted it loud, guess no one heard it.So i started solo in the Saturday Morning by 3 AM,soo i was hitting Mumbai roads in the dark.. filled with cold wind and the very known MUMBAI AROMA.Encoutered very very little traffic in the city (very obvious) and on the NH17 as well. Soon i reached Wadkhal, took the left turn from the so called square. Stopped for a while to click some photos.

The Moon - Alone but Romantic

Now another tale, rear tyre's thread had come out on the KOLKATA ride itself. So i risked it, risked it for 1000+ more Kms.That makes me the most stupidest person, doesn't it. It was like i wanted the flat tyre thingy happen to me, it was like i was prepared for it.Ok,back to the road.
Crossed Kolad..Mahad..Poladpur...Kashedi...and touched KHED around 7 am
Somewhere in the ghats..on NH17

Here is thread i was talking about

Stopped for breakfast break.Sometime running alone, for a long distances becomes boring,unintresting...so there i made my mind to go off from NH17 to see Konkan coastal sight.

Took the road going to Dapoli..Reached Dapoli...Moved towards Dabhol

On my way to Dabhol
Some religious activity in between.

Finally reached Dabhol
Saw an abandoned old Mosque inside the town...

After clicking some pics at the Mosque,I enquired about going Guhagar and Valneshwar,Which was on the other side of the crate. So the better and the easiest way was to take the Ferry.15 Rs for the and 10 Rs for me as far as i remember.Dirt cheap .Some Insight

Ferry
Captaaan Sahib..and Assosiates
Ships at the Bay

Dabhol power plant in the Back

Other side..Just like that
It hardly took 5 mins to reach the other side..Now once you unboard..there are two ways left and right..Both takes you to Guhagar. But the Left one is short and bad in condition..but right one is bit long and good in condition.
Obviously i took the right one.
In another 20 Mins with the help of Local GPS,i finally landed up at Guhagar beach.I was surprised, shocked and happy to see no crowd at all.Beach was very very clean

Abandoned Ship

And a cuppa tea at Beach

Guhagar from the top

At some Turn on my way, while taking left turn for Guhagar.I saw a sign board of Gopalgadh fort 6-7 Kms pointing in the other direction. So how can Biru miss it.It took another 20 Mins and i was at the Gopalgadh fort.
At the end

Inside fort..It was all ruins and aam kaa bagh.It attracts the tourist just because of the views from the fort walls.

After some sneak peak and clicks at the Gopalgadh fort, I started for NH17.After little bit of enquiries at a junction I came to know that there are two roads going ahead one will take me to Chiplun and the other one will take me to Ratnagiri.I preferred to explore the unexplored. So obviously I took the road to Ratnagiri.

I rode on the very narrow roads, sometime no roads. Which gave me a fear and shiver and a non-supportive voice on the back of my head 'AM I LOST’. Adventure I wanted, Fun I wanted. So what the heck.I moved on and on and on assuming the right roads on the Junctions.
Also high intensity heat was killing me. So took a short break.

Don’t worry I am unarmed and extremely non-dangerous

Another fear was the tyre which had very less amount of rubber in it. Thread coming out from all over the places.
Finally patience paid, I touched the Ganpatipule route which comes from NH17.A junction whose left turn takes NH17 and the right one takes Ganpatipule.
I took the left turn and reached NH17.Fuel was low, quickly refueled and started for GOA.
I will cut short the riding part here, which was a solo rip fiesta. Which happened because of the call which I got from the other fellas who were coming from NH4.'Dude we are just 80 kms ahead of you'

So the other gang reached Goa around 6 Pm,and I reached by 7 PM.We booked 2 rooms at Baga beach for 300 per night I guess.
Everyone got fresh quickly, as no one wanted to waste the time.Baga beach it was, who witnessed 7 roamers partying till 3 AM.

Boozed at baga,it was high tide.We shifted the table 2 times. But third time we allowed the water to play its game.Water under table, under chairs and inside the places which are forbidden to mention

Then, there was a DJ playing loud music. Since everyone was total talli. We went for dance and all for 30 mins.
Since everyone was tired of the ride so all of us called the night off at 3 AM.

Day 2

The average time at which everybody woke was 10:30.
Daily activities and time for some breakfast and tea. Sadly the proper tea was hard to find.
Went to SUBWAY for breakfast.

Posers posing in front of Subway

Spot Winzee and Shiva

We went back to Brittos (Baga beach).Plan was to have some beer and then water sports.

Rates of water sports at Baga and calangute differs a lot.Calangute is quite cheap as compared to Baga. But we are rich fellas,we went to Baga. And started Maandwaali with the guy who was one the organisers of the water sport. For Bumpy ride he started with 500 Per person, and we finally get him to lock it at 100 per person. We were still feeling that price is bit high :P.

Bumpy ride was an awesome expirience.Everyone went atleast for 2 rounds.Later on we did banana ride for 300 bugs. All 7 of us sitting on the banana, boat takes us into the deep water (we had life jackets on) and makes us fall.Omg that salty water got filled in every possible hole :D .So then we have to catch up the banana and board again.felling and boarding things happened thrice. Some fellas were pissed with the felling part.So we pulled off after three falls.Damn good expirience.

From the day we arrived to goa we never had proper food (Specialy goan food). We went to a near by Restaurant which was serving goan food and had very less crowd with some real Old music in the air.Ordered couple of beers and lots of goan food.

Lots of water sports and masti at the beach made us bit tired, and tasty goan food contributed its part on it.
But none of us went to sleep actually, all of us went to home and had a long bakar session.

Next day was Monday, that is holi. Some of us wanted to stay and enjoy the holi then leave for Mumbai. But some peoples wanted to leave early in the morning and reach early.

So that night we did a early packup and slept tight.Anup and Winzee left early in the morning.

Rest of us left by 10 AM.

I got a flat tyre 25 Kms before Rajapur. Not flat tyre exactly, the threads which were showing at the start of the ride had given up.Tyre was worn out from plenty of places.Oh fish i said.I rode those 25 Kms sitting on the tank.Since i was tailing only shiva saw me stopping and signalling to stop.He stopped for me,but i asked him to leave as this thing was going to take a looong time.He firmly requested that he will stay he don't have any issue. But still i asked him to leave, and repeated that i will inform you guys about me time to time.

Big mess for which i was prepared and waiting to happen.Drove those 25 Kms in an hour and so.Since it was HOLI so not many shops were open.Another hastle was to getting the 100-80-17 tube. Finally spotted a shop near highway.Pulled off to his shop, but the guy didn't had the tube.He advised me that there is a shop in the main town where you can get the tube.Took a rickshaw and went to the shop, the only shop which was open.Luckily got the tyre,in between called one of friend Nitin (who was having Bhaang in Karnala bird sanctury with his friends) for some advice for changing to the big size tyre. But since my chain sprocket was new the 18 Inch tyre will scrape with swing arm.So i took the tube and dropped the idea of fitting new tyre.

I asked the guy to cut some tyre pieces and put it in the places where the tyre had worn out. Finally everything got in place by 2:00 Pm.

Got back on the road and started ripping at moderate speeds :P

Encountered some heavy traffic in between which was expected. But there is always an advantage with 2 wheelers. You can easily steer it from the thin spaces and get out of the traffic in no time.

Reached home at 7:30 PM.

This was my first ride to Goa,though i had been to goa via train and other means plenty of time.

Remeber the Plan was to go Tarkarli :D

Cheers
Biru
