Go Go GOA and OM Beach ....

DAY 1
PUNE - SANKESHWAR - AJRA - SAWANTWADI - GOA

It all started when two friends from Pune..two friends from Delhi..One friend from Chennai..Three friends from Hyderabad and one friend decided to have a get together at some common point. And the common point came out as 'GOA'

Other guys applied for leave and they got it..and hence their plan was all set. But my leave plea got rejected because of lot of dependencies. But what the heck,i decided to bunk office on Friday.

I started on Thursday night around 8 PM.

Plan was to hit the NH4 till sankeshwar and take the shortest route to reach NH17..I had done my homework well,and found that Sankeshwar-Ajra-Sawantwadi route is the shortest one.

And yeah that is true..it saves some 70-80 Kms.Road condition is quite Ok.It meets the Amboli route at some point from where..Sawantwadi is approx 35-40 Kms.

Junta went to Ajanta caves and Lonar Crater

Day 1

Pune - Ahmednagar - Aurangabad - Ajanta - Buldana - Chikli - Mehsar - Lonar (500 Kms )




3 peoples have confirmed for this ride.Tushar was coming from Mumbai,Me and Deven from Pune.Like the other rides plan was to leave early by 5 AM.Tushar was about to meet us at Shikrapur.As usual i was sleeping till 5:30 and then got a wake up call from tushar that he has reached the meeting point..I said.. Oh what !!..You were not supposed to come that early :D.In couple of mins got a call from deven as well that he has reached Kalyani nagar - Gold Adlabs.where we were supposed to meet and head for Nagar(Ahmednagar).


Did the daily stuff and geared up quickly,reached kalyani nagar in 10 mins.Then we started for shikrapur.Tushar was waiting for us for past one hour :).Had an tea and sutta session and discussed the plan that where we will be heading first..Ajanta OR Lonar.


Actually i wanted to go Lonar first,as i wanted to explore the NH222 route which takes us to lonar from internal roads.But to our surprise no was aware of any place named LONAR.we asked and enquired about Route to Lonar with so many peoples,but no one had any clue about it.

In between saw some GENDA-PHOOL plantation.

Lovely highway and other two buggers :D :D

KAAS Pleatau and Thosegar Falls

Awesome ride to KAAS and Thosegar falls.Serene Weather,Amazing atmosphere and never ending array's of wild flowers.I simply fell in love with the beauty of the mother nature..
And when Rishabh got senti..all this came out :D

KAAS,The place where you are at such a height that you stand on steep edges, look down and it’s all too small, on the other hand when you turn back you see equality all are at the same level - no difference’s, no body is bothered to harm anybody (no competition, no jealousy), just take a few steps ahead and you see a long resting water body which so peaceful.... just walk inside it and it will nurture your feet like a mother, moving out from there you see aggressive waterfalls roaring like anything ending up so deep and giving birth to a silent stream, and then you see lovely pink flowers which will make you to think about your loved ones.

Weekend Run to Dandeli and JOG FALLS

One more solo dash of approx 1400 Kms.

Route taken -
Day 1 - Pune - Belgaum - Dandeli - Yellapur - Sirsi

Day 2 - Sirsi - JOG Falls - Sirsi - Banavasi - Hangal - Hubli - Pune

DAY 1

Late night Friday party was about to spoil this plan.But at the end i made it :)

Started bit late on the Saturday morning at 8:30.Till Belgaum i had to take the NH4 and then to reach Dandeli take the first exit.
Plain,straight and smooth NH4 with very less traffic.Didn't encoutered much rains till Belgaum.

DAY 14,15 - 17,18 JUNE,2010 - DELHI - MUMBAI

DELHI - MUMBAI

This was almost a saddle sore we did.We covered Delhi to Mumbai in 24 hours which includes riding in the Rajasthan part which we crossed in the day time...that too in the month of june...under super deadly heat.

We left the hotel on the 17 th Afternoon.We bid adieu to our riding partners.KP Anna,Boo,Aditya and Vishnuu.Each and everyone were very nice peoples from heart ...and not to mention very expirienced riders.

It was fun riding with you guys,thanks for all the support and company

DAY 13 - JUNE 16,2010 - RAMBAN - DELHI

Return part is always quicker than the Going part.We covered the Ramban to Delhi distance in a day and reached Delhi in the midnight.

DAY 12 - JUNE 15,2010 -KARGIL - RAMBAN

It was freezing cold in the morning,somehow we managed to start quite early by 5:30 AM.Reached at Kargil War Memorial,stopped to pay the tribute to those Great Kargil Heros.Gates were closed at that time,they opens from 7 am in the Morning.

DAY 11 - JUNE 14,2010 - KHALSAR - KARGIL

To cross the mighty Khardung La we started early in the morning,soon we reached Khardung.But we had to stop due to mild snowfall wihch happened in the morning.Road was all jammed.
